The iphone4 pics that I have seen when out with friends tend to be over saturated. My iphone 3G is pretty woeful on the pic front, but as the old saying goes the best camera is the one you have with you.

I had a play with a Samsung Galaxy S2 last week when a friend was visiting, I was impressed with it and as a programmer Android is much more hackable. I suspect I will be heading that way when I finally get around to upgrading
