Radio Thailand app for iPhone

There are probably half a dozen different Thai Radio apps available for the iPhone. There are often as good as each other. However, only Radio Thailand has updated recently to take advantage of multi-tasking on iOS4. This means that you can listen to the radio in the background while surfing the net or reading an iBook.

Radio Thailand claims to have over 150 online radio stations. I am not sure how true that is as there were too many for me to count. However, as on other radio apps, you will find that there are a number of radio stations that just won’t work. Either the server is down or they have changed address. But during my test over the last two days I was pleased with the number of stations that I could connect to very quickly. You have the option to add them as favourites and there is even a history so that you can see what you played recently. During my tests, the app seemed to be a drain on the batteries so you probably won’t be able to listen to Internet radio on the beach all day. Overall this is a nice radio app for anyone around the world who wants to listen to Thai radio on their iPhone.
